Guildford Hotel “Back to Guildford” Launch Event
The Guildford Hotel is gearing up for a
‘Back to Guildford’ relaunch event that
will mark a new era for this heritage
establishment. On Saturday, May 25,
the hotel will be hosting the Launch
Event, for locals and visitors to the
Cumberland suburb honouring the
hotels relaunch after it underwent a
five million dollar makeover. Guests
will gather in the Beer Garden, kicking
off with a warm welcome and an
Acknowledgement of Country, setting
the tone for a celebration of community
and culture. Richard Alleyn, the
spokesperson of Guildford’s Hotel,
will address the celebration to extend a
heartfelt welcome to all attendees.
The Mayor of Guildford Councillor
Lisa Lake will also be in attendance,
sharing her thoughts and vision for the
future of the Cumberland community
and officially opening the event,
marking a significant moment in the
history of the Guildford Hotel.
The launch celebration includes
Lion Dancing and Arabic Drummer
performance showcasing the rich
diversity and cultural heritage of the
area and has purposefully been aligned
by event organisers to complement the
local festival “Back to Guildford Street
Festival” which celebrates the upgrades
to the Guildford Laneway as part of
the Safer Cities: Her Way Program
which showcases some of the recent
local council work. The upgrades
include new furniture including tables
and benches, installation of smart
technology, lighting, CCTV cameras,
mobile phone charging stations. The
event will include live entertainment,
roving performers, children’s activities,
arts and crafts, food and market stalls.
The Guildford Hotel has undergone
a remarkable transformation, and
this event is a celebration of its grand
reopening. With a reimagined kitchen
that offers an array of meats and spices
inspired by Moroccan flavours, the
hotel is ready to welcome families and
foodies. The grill will feature steaks,
chicken and lamb dishes, the head chef
wanted to provide the community with
rich flavours and cultural cuisines.
For those looking to unwind, the hotel’s
lounge offers an impressive selection
of cocktails, local and imported beers,
wines, and spirits. The hotel also has
a range of non-alcoholic mocktails
and beverages to cater to everyone’s
preferences.
Sports enthusiasts will find their
haven in the state-of-the-art sports
bar, featuring a massive 4-meter live
and loud screen that broadcasts all the
major sporting events from around the
world. Guests will be encouraged to
take a moment to admire the Western
Sydney-inspired mural, a stunning
masterpiece created by renowned
artist Nico Nicoson, celebrating the
diversity of the local community.
