Parramatta halfback Mitchell Moses is no certainty to return this weekend from a broken foot. Eels coach Brad Arthur was due to finalise his team this afternoon ahead of Saturday night’s must-win clash against last-placed South Sydney at Accor Stadium. Moses was originally scheduled to return this week after fracturing his foot against Manly in late March. If Moses does make his long-awaited comeback this weekend, it could possibly be via the extended bench, with Arthur giving his chief playmaker up until kick-off to prove his fitness. The Eels desperately need the Origin star back after dropping their fourth straight game on Sunday at Suncorp Stadium. Up against one of the best teams in the competition in Melbourne, the Eels were well in the fight at half-time down 16-10 before the Storm ran in five second half tries to one, to blow the game apart. “The second half was embarrassing,” Arthur said following his side’s 48-16 defeat. “We just fell in a hole for a period of 10 to 15 minutes.
