As anticipation builds for the second edition of the UK <strong>Garage</strong> and Bodyshop<br />

Event at the NEC in Birmingham on June 5 and 6 2024, the trade exhibition has<br />

unveiled details of this year’s 14 show features and new training hubs designed<br />

exclusively for garages and technicians.<br />

This unique trade event offers a<br />

prime opportunity for garages and<br />

workshops to access dynamic training,<br />

cutting-edge technologies, and essential<br />

tools for their trade - plus free parking and<br />

breakfast is provided for garages.<br />

Attendees can engage in practical skills<br />

training led by over 80 renowned industry<br />

experts across four dedicated training<br />

hubs, covering topics such diagnostics,<br />

digitalisation, EV service and repair,<br />

DPF, ADAS, oils and lubricants, battery<br />

technology and technical data.<br />

First up, UK <strong>Garage</strong> and Bodyshop<br />

Event is highlighting the new Workshop<br />

Management Hub, an essential feature for<br />

garage owners and managers looking to<br />

improve business operations, profitability,<br />

and plan for the future. Topics covered<br />

include the impact of electric vehicles (EV)<br />

and hybrid on the market and adapting<br />

operations for the digital world.<br />

Additionally, the Workshop Technical<br />

Hub, in association with Autotechnician<br />

magazine, offers a jam-packed programme<br />

for the service, repair, and maintenance<br />

sector, to address challenges and<br />

advancements in the sector.<br />

<strong>The</strong> Modern <strong>Garage</strong> returns this<br />

year, in partnership with LKQ Euro Car<br />

Parts, offering a glimpse into the future<br />

of service and repair. This feature will<br />

showcase the latest tools, technology, and<br />

solutions tailored for modern vehicles and<br />

demonstrate how garages and workshops<br />

can optimise their operations and maximise<br />

profitability.<br />

Hosted by technical experts, Modern<br />

<strong>Garage</strong> provides practical insights and<br />

solutions on a range of key topics essential<br />

for servicing and repairing modern vehicles<br />

effectively. Visitors can also put their<br />

knowledge to the test and participate in<br />

interactive demonstrations and challenges<br />

on the stand for a chance to win exciting<br />

New for 2024, the trade event will<br />

launch its official student programme in<br />

partnership with Autotech Group, aiming to<br />

host its popular lounges again this year<br />

including Refuel & Recharge, plus the<br />

Bodyshop Lounge, hosted by Bodyshop<br />

magazine, offering a networking hub<br />

for the collision repair sector, and the<br />

Meet the Experts lounge, presented by<br />

Autotechnician magazine, providing visitors<br />

the chance to engage with guest speakers<br />

when they are not presenting.<br />

Finally, the Automechanika Birmingham<br />

<strong>Garage</strong> Awards return for 2024, hosted by<br />

IAAF and headline sponsored by LKQ Euro<br />

Car Parts. This glittering event ceremony<br />

will take place on 5 June and will celebrate<br />

the very best independent garages and<br />

technicians across the UK. Nominations for<br />

the <strong>Garage</strong> Awards are now open and can<br />
