Featured Artist MIKE MONSERRAT Mike Monserrat was destined for the dance floor from a young age. In the realm of dance, as an original member of Penthouse 7's pioneering Modern Group, Mike truly shone. After the show concluded, Mike ventured into film with "Swing It Baby" alongside Vilma Santos. He also graced television screens as the host of "Dance 10" with Ray An Fuentes and "2- Night" with Becca Godinez. His passion for dance led him to victory on Dance Fever Asia, ultimately representing Asia in the Dance Fever USA Finals in Los Angeles. Years later, Mike migrated to the United States and joined the esteemed San Francisco Jazz Dance Company, rising to prominence as the lead male dancer and a distinguished choreographer. Here, Mike met his partner in life and dance, Gillian Gould, with whom he now lives with in the Bay Area alongside their two beloved dogs. Mike's passion for dance remains undiminished. He continues to hone his skills through Ballroom and Salsa lessons and delights in occasional performances alongside his instructors, keeping the rhythm alive in his heart and on the dance floor.
F e a t u r e d A r t i s t P I P O L I B O R O Francisco "Pipo" Liboro's journey to dancing with the Penthouse 7 Modern Group was anything but conventional. His passion for dance traces back to his childhood when, at the age of 11, he represented the Philippines in cultural exchanges in Canada. There, he took his first steps onto the dance floor, showcasing his country's cultural dances to an international audience. Amidst the disco fever of mid-70s Spain, Pipo found himself immersed in the vibrant nightlife, honing his dance skills. Upon returning to Manila, fate led Pipo to Penthouse 7, where a temporary need for a male dancer arose. Seizing the opportunity, Pipo embraced the challenge, dedicating himself to improving his craft week after week until becoming a regular fixture on the show until its conclusion in 1981. Today, he resides in the San Francisco Bay Area with his wife, Beth de Mesa, where his passion for rhythm remains undiminished. Though he choreographs snippets of songs from his playlists, his performances are reserved exclusively for Beth, a testament to their enduring love and shared joy in dance.
