Created in the footsteps of the TV show “<strong>Dance</strong>time<br />
with Chito” (Feliciano), Penthouse 7 was that '70's dance<br />
party show on Philippine television that got the nation up<br />
on its feet, dancing! Hosted by Archie Lacson, the show danced its way<br />
to the top with Salsa, Foxtrot, Swing, the Robot, "Locking", Bump, LA<br />
Walk, New York Hustle, and others. Hundreds of dance steps were<br />
popularized during the dance instruction portion of the show.<br />
Penthouse 7 was HOT! The show introduced the first MTVs, inspired<br />
recording companies to create their own dance groups to get their latest<br />
albums airplay. It rated so highly that the station, GMA-7, had to increase<br />
its time slot to 1 ½ hours.<br />
In the Golden Era of <strong>Dance</strong> in the'70's, Penthouse 7 was setting trends in<br />
dance, music, and fashion, launching new artists and careers, and keeping<br />
everybody, young and old, up late on Sunday evenings.<br />
Decades later, Penthouse 7 now hosts a livestream on Youtube with<br />
11,000 subscribers with a mission to promote a lifestyle of<br />
health and wellness through dancing.<br />
