CHINA FISH 2024
BREAKS RECORDS
FOR SHOW
Exhibitors and visitors alike – old and new – contributed to the most successful China
Fish event yet, with numbers of both domestic and overseas participants reaching
impressive levels.
After several years of waiting,
because of the Covid-19
pandemic, the giant China
Fish event finally returned
to its rightful place as one of the biggest
tackle trade shows in the world.
Following its enforced postponement,
it was perhaps no surprise that record
numbers of exhibitors flocked to Beijing’s
New China International Exhibition
Centre back in February.
The organisers said that there were
736 exhibitors – the highest in the
event’s history – including 256 first-time
standholders; that’s more than a third of
exhibitors. They covered 39,300 sq m of
floor space at the venue.
The numbers also included 24
international exhibitors from 14 countries
or regions, including France, Germany,
Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan,
Korea, Pakistan, Poland, Singapore,
Taiwan, the UK and the USA.
The show floor was busy and buzzy,
thanks to 1,210 registered international
buyers and 590 companies from 82
different countries or territories. In fact,
there were 520 first-time visitors too.
NEW PRODUCT FOCUS
With more than 91 per cent of those
attending saying they were keen to see
new tackle, it was perhaps no surprise,
