Vista rejects buy bid
Vista Outdoor, which owns a string of
brands including Simms, has rejected
an unsolicited indication of interest
from MNC Capital for its Sporting
Products business.
Instead, its board continues to
recommend the shooting and hunting
division’s acquisition by Czechoslovak
Group (CSG) later this year.
Meanwhile, its Outdoor Products
business Revelyst will continue as a
standalone public company.
Gill’s Pioneer move
Gill North America has announced
a partnership with Pioneer Outdoor
Group for sales and marketing in
the western regions of the USA. As a
premier sailing clothing line in the
territory, it is now branching into
other aquatic activities such as fishing,
paddle, and water adventure.
Based in Colorado, Pioneer
Outdoor Group will be representing
Gill products in Alaska, California,
Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico, Kansas,
Colorado, Utah, Oregon, Washington,
Idaho, Montana, North Dakota, South
Dakota, Iowa, Nebraska, Wyoming
and Hawaii.

Townsend to further raise its profile
across global marine media and drive
brand awareness.

Gamakatsu has introduced a
proprietary new finish for its most
popular hook styles.
Its latest innovation, the Nano
Alpha finish, is said to represent a
paradigm shift in hook performance,
offering anglers advantages including
slicker performance and enhanced
corrosion resistance, all at the same
affordable price as its standard hooks.

The move, at least in part, follows
requests from enthusiast anglers.
Seaguar general manager Gerry Benedicto
explained: “Many of these products are
known to North American anglers who
follow the Japanese bass scene.
“These are existing products that have
been designed to get the best performance
out of lures in highly pressured fisheries
in Japan. Now, anglers here can fish these
unique JDM lines and experience them first
hand.”
Two-time Bassmaster Elite Series Angler
of the Year Brandon Palaniuk added: “The
biggest thing about the products that
originate in Japan is the attention to detail
and how they make small changes to get big
results.”
R18 fluorocarbon is designed for excellent
casting and performance and uses Seaguar’s
