Scott Fly Rod Company
now in Session with rods
The Scott Fly Rod Company
has introduced its Session
series of high-performance,
hand-crafted fly rods, blending
acclaimed design approaches
with latest materials and
technologies.
Session rods bring together
high line speed, exceptional
loop control, and a light and
lively feel in hand. They load
easily and are said to respond to
subtle inputs from the angler.
Scott’s president, Jim
Bartschi, said: “Anyone who has
fished Scott freshwater rods in
the recent past will immediately
recognise our signature ‘fast
with feel’ action in Session rods.
“They share some of the
design approaches and material
DNA with some of our most
legendary rods. Incorporating
some of our newest technologies
gives these rods their own
unique feel and attributes.”
Session rods feature Scott’s
Carbon Link epoxy resin
system, multi-modulus lay ups,
ARC2 reinforcement, ReAct
and Natural Finish blanks.
All the rods are handcrafted
in Montrose, Colorado,
USA, using the finest
components including milled
aluminium reel seats with type
two anodised and wood inserts,
silicon nitride stripping guides
and super grade cork handles.
The Scott Session rods are
available from 8ft to 10ft and
in four-piece configuration for
3-wt to 8-wt lines.
