By now we have enjoyed snowdrops,
daffodils, cherry blossom and so much
more from tulips to the brilliant green of
new leaves on the trees… and there is so
much more to come.
Currently and over the
past months there has
been a huge amount
of media coverage of
mental health - both
the fleeting and the
fundamental, and also
a number of reports
about the benefits of
gardening.
After a stressful day, if
you are lucky enough
to have an outdoor
space, just a few
minutes breathing
the air, watching the
birds and seeing the
seasonal changes can be
incredibly beneficial.
Tending your houseplants can be, too. Your garden is your
own personal space, it is a valuable resource for you and
for your family and making it a space you want to spend
time in is so important. It need not cost a fortune, or indeed
anything, there are often items on websites that are free to
pick up, gardeners love to share seeds and cuttings and it is
amazing how quickly you can enjoy the fruits of your labour,
from a bunch of flowers to bring the outdoors inside, to a
salad of your own home grown leaves. It has so much to offer
so I hope your gardens bring you joy - and help to keep you
healthy in mind and body.
