Trad jazz on a Sunday afternoon<br />
› The Tri-State Jazz Society will present Dave Posmontier leading Philly Stomp!<br />
– “a New Orleans band with a Philly twist” – at 2pm on Sun Apr 21. The venue<br />
is the sanctuary of the United Methodist Church.<br />
This six-piece ensemble will transport you to Basin and Bourbon Streets<br />
and the French Quarter of New Orleans, with swinging jazz from the 1920s up<br />
to today. The sextet include Dave Posmontier (piano), Stan Slotter (trumpet),<br />
Grant McAvoy (drums), Dave Brodie (bass), Charly Salinger (clarinet), and Fred<br />
Scott (trombone).<br />
General admission is $20. (Tri-State members $10.) Introductory offer:<br />
Start a new, first-time annual membership for $20 at the door and receive free<br />
admission to this concert. Full-time students with ID and children accompanied<br />
by a paying adult are free. There are no advance sales or reservations.<br />
