Historical Society programs<br />

› In addition to activities associated with the <strong>Haddonfield</strong> Skirmish on Sat Jun<br />

1, the Historical Society is planning a number of events for this spring:<br />

• Fri May 3 at 7pm – A discussion at Inkwood Books with William J. Lewis,<br />

author of South Jersey Legends & Lore: Tales from the Pine Barrens and Beyond.<br />

• Wed May 22 at 7pm – A discussion at the Lutheran Church led by Jane<br />

Peters Estes: The Battle of Gettysburg: Where were the women? With information<br />

gleaned from diaries, letters, and newspapers of the period, many parts of this<br />

program are told in the actual words of women who lived through the battle.<br />

• Thu June 27 at 5pm. Roofs, Rails & Roots! Celebrate spring in the beautiful<br />

gardens behind Greenfield Hall (343 Kings Hwy E). Live music and light<br />

refreshments. Tickets will be available through the Society’s website and at the<br />
