PEACE OF MIND
Upon learning of a serious medical condition, Pinky’s owner
knew she had to arrange for her pet’s care when she would no
longer be able. She visited Peggy Adams and learned of our
PEACE OF MIND program.
The Peace of Mind program was initiated to do just what the
name says – to give pet owners peace of mind, knowing that
their beloved animals will be cared for if they should outlive
their owner. Those enrolled can rest assured
knowing that Peggy Adams will accept their
pets immediately into our adoption program
when the need arises.
Pinky arrived at Peggy Adams in August. She
was given a thorough medical exam and
treatment for existing health issues. At 12
years old, Pinky was overweight and had a
heart murmur. Our vets placed her in intensive
care to monitor her closely and provide the
medical attention she needed before placing
her in a foster home and then up her for

CHRISTMAS BALL
Our 52nd Annual Christmas Ball was held on December 7th at the Sailfish
Club in Palm Beach. This elegant holiday affair supported our mission of
saving the lives of homeless, neglected, and injured dogs, cats, puppies,
and kittens. Pauline Pitt, a devoted Peggy Adams supporter and board
member, once again served as Chairwoman. Christmas Carolers singing
holiday classics welcomed nearly 300 guests who enjoyed cocktails,
dinner, and live entertainment. This year’s event was record-breaking,
raising over two million dollars to support the programs and services
at Peggy Adams.
We are so grateful to our supporters, volunteers, and Board
of Directors that continue to help the animals at Peggy Adams
Animal Rescue League. Those who supported this year’s
Christmas Ball speak for those without a voice and there is
nothing more special than that during the holiday season.”

home to ease her anxiety and monitor
her diet.
To enroll in the Peace of Mind program, we ask for a donation of $25,000 or more
designated solely for the Peace of Mind program, or a minimum provision of $25,000
in your will, living trust, life insurance policy, a retirement account, or other planned
gift vehicle that names Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League as beneficiary. With this
minimum donation you may enroll up to three pets in the Peace of Mind program.
While living in foster care, she met a
friend of her foster mother, who is a big
fan of Chihuahuas. It wasn’t too long

before Pinky was adopted by Kathleen
and off to live in a new loving home.
Kathleen recently shared, “Pinky has become a
funny, lively, and outrageously lovable addition
to our family. She is on five meds twice a day but
is now energetically walking half a mile each day
with us and the other dogs. She likes to play fetch
and digs in the toy basket for just the right toy of
any given moment … She is living her best life now
and totally enjoying every minute of it. We are
blessed to have found her and to now have her in
our lives. Thank you all for rescuing her - she is a
treasure and a joy!”
