Would it be possible to have a notion <strong>of</strong> race that would not lead to<br />

racism? Could we divide ourselves in a way that would not lead us<br />

to think that some groups are inherently better than others? Would all<br />

divisions lead to ranking and, therefore, the belief that some groups<br />

are superior?<br />

Given our ability to move freely around the globe and the inevitable<br />

intermarriage that results and given the way that modern communication<br />

technology facilitates global cultural exchange, is the notion <strong>of</strong> race on<br />

the verge <strong>of</strong> disappearing? Is it a concept that will cease to make sense<br />

in the globalized future?<br />
