Mélange World <strong>Spa</strong><br />

Mélange World <strong>Spa</strong> is part of Armony Luxury Resort & <strong>Spa</strong>,<br />
an adults-only property in Punta de Mita, Mexico. The<br />
resort is located steps from Destiladeras Beach and looks<br />
out on Banderas Bay, which is known for whale watching during the<br />
winter months.<br />
Mélange, meaning ‘mixture of components’, is the concept that<br />
embraces and defines the philosophy of the Mélange World <strong>Spa</strong>.<br />
Located near the resort’s open-air reception area and one of the<br />
restaurants, the spa covers three floors. The first floor is spacious<br />
with high ceilings, large windows, plants, and couches, with the nail<br />
area located just off the welcome area. Guests take an elevator to<br />
the ground and upper floors. On the ground floor, the expansive<br />
changing and locker areas include a steam room. An outdoor<br />
hydrotherapy area surrounded by a natural garden includes a<br />
jacuzzi, cold plunge, and several lounge chairs. Guests can also<br />
enjoy the gym facilities on this level. The treatment rooms are<br />
located on the floor above the reception area/top floor. Relaxation<br />
areas include a space with loungers and plants, enclosed by sheer<br />
curtains. While most of the treatment rooms are on this floor, there<br />
are a few nestled among guest rooms which are just a short walk<br />
from the spa.<br />
The Mélange World <strong>Spa</strong> menu focuses on signature experiences<br />
centered on cultures and rituals from nine countries – Bali (Indonesia),<br />
India, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Russia, Thailand, Turkey, and the United<br />
States. The Russia Banya Experience takes place in a room that<br />
includes an art display of matryoshka nesting dolls. The experience<br />
starts with a foot bath, and a presentation of Russian-themed food<br />
and drinks including salmon on toast, a chocolate truffle, vodka,<br />
and orange juice. Alternate between an in-room sauna and shower,<br />
followed by the Russian massage, a combination of therapeutic and<br />
sports massage developed in the former Soviet Union.<br />
The Bali Aromatherapy Experience begins with a foot bath,<br />
followed by a mud massage that includes seven essential oils of<br />
cedar, sandalwood, lemon, peppermint, jasmine, spearmint, and<br />
a house blend. The Bali experience included watermelon juice, a<br />
curry sandwich, and a chocolate truffle. In addition to the world<br />
experiences, massage therapy; facials, and body treatments are<br />
offered at Mélange World <strong>Spa</strong>.<br />
