One borough,
one book
› In April, the Public
Library and The Haddon
Fortnightly will host a
month-long community
literary initiative to
celebrate and explore
the book Clara and
Mr. Tiffany, a work of
historical fiction by
Susan Vreeland.
Behind the scenes
at the Tiffany glass
company, Clara Driscoll
is responsible for
conceiving and designing
nearly all of the leadedglass
lamps for which
Tiffany becomes famous.
The wrinkle? Tiffany
has a strict policy of
not employing married
women. Clara yearns for
love and companionship
and must decide what
makes her happiest: the
professional world of her
hands or the personal
world of her heart.
On the agenda:

Krall-Russo will present
a program on Gilded Age
foods.

A discussion of Clara
and Mr. Tiffany at the

A faux stained glass craft
for teens (grades 6 thru
12) at the Public Library.

A children’s storytime
and faux stained glass
craft at the Fortnightly,
featuring the youth
companion title, Mary
Blair’s Unique Flair.
• Fri Apr 26 at 10:45am:
A tour guided by
David Stedman of the
Tiffany windows at the
Presbyterian Church.
