varför inte simma några längder i stora bassängen.

The Bagheera Relay for juniors is held after the O-Ringen
opening ceremony, starting and finishing at the Öland
quay in Oskarshamn harbour. Spectators can sit on Långa
Soffan, the world’s longest and oldest wooden sofa, which
was once where people waited for fishing boats to return
from the sea. The arena offers great views across the
entrance to the harbour, as well as the start, changeover
area and finish.
The juniors start their race by leaving the harbour and heading up
to Stadsparken, typical park terrain with a small area of woodland.
There is also a large school in the competition area.
There will be good variety for the juniors over the 1,800m
courses.
Who can compete?
There is one class for teams of boys and girls, as follows:
• Leg 1: Girls up to and including D16.
• Leg 2: Boys up to and including H14.
• Leg 3: Girls up to and including D14.
• Leg 4: Boys up to and including H16.
Each leg is around 1.8 km.
Combination teams
Where possible, teams should be club teams from Sweden, club/
regional teams from other Nordic countries or club/regional/national
teams from other countries. Combination teams are permitted.
In cases where if it’s not possible to make up a club or combination
team, Swedish regional/district teams are also permitted.
Terrain
The relay will take place in central Oskarshamn. The start, changeover
and finish will be at the harbour. The competition area is a
combination of urban and park terrain, with some woodland. The
courses will use garden areas, streets and alleyways – the focus is
on fun orienteering and a good start to O-Ringen week. There are
usually a lot of spectators on the streets, so remember to enjoy the
atmosphere of them and of your
clubmates cheering you on!
