Unpacking conflict
What lies beneath?
By unpacking and talking about conflict, you will
generate a new awareness. You will ‘out’ some new
perspectives and learn new lessons. This will help you
be a better group going forward.
We will share with you some of the organisational
causes of conflict and their relationship to and with
each other.
Scarcity & abundance
Our stress response to conflict
Understand how a scarcity or abundance of anything
can both be sources of conflict – whether this be time
or resources.
As our brain prepares the body for an emergency
response, our bodies are flooded with cortisol and
adrenaline – do we fight or freeze?
Levels of conflict
Holding crucial conversations
By understanding the 5 levels of conflict one can
identify where you are and then prepare for what
comes next. This greater insight improves your
prospects in resolving any conflict more effectively.

When implemented properly, contracting diffuses
conflicts related to Core Beliefs. It allows for healthy
disagreements and creates a safe space for discord,
discussion and resolution to take place. When a
common goal is agreed to and this system is in place
it shifts the attention away from conflict and helps
redirect to the goal.
