An iron devil with a trident sticks out his fiery red tongue<br />

at visitors to the ‘Teufelskanzel’ (devil’s pulpit). Farmer Bartl<br />

is said to have once made a deal with the devil up here;<br />

the devil offered him wealth and prosperity, in return for<br />

which the hunter is said to have sold him his soul. Susanna<br />

will take you from the hotel past the plague chapel until<br />

you reach the viewing platform. We will then take in the<br />

marvellous view before hiking back.<br />

Hut hike to Nissl Alm 10.00 - 14.00<br />

The village of Gries lies above Längenfeld, a bit beyond the<br />

tourist hustle and bustle of the Ötztal Valley. Today’s hike<br />

with our hiking guide Maria starts here. The hotel bus will<br />

take you to Gries, where we will start off at a leisurely pace<br />

and then make a firm ascent. Once we arrive at the hut, we<br />

will stop for a bite to eat and allow Albertina, the landlady,<br />

to spoil us with Tyrolean delicacies. Weather permitting, we<br />

can enjoy our return journey on the toboggan.<br />

Natural gem – Piburger See 10.00 - 14.30<br />

Can a mountain lake be any more beautiful? Anyone trying<br />

to describe the Piburger See lake will sooner or later end<br />

up with the word ‘idyllic’. Nestled in a dip above Oetz, the<br />

clear green water reflects the surrounding forests and the<br />

mighty towering Acherkogel. Together with Maria, we will<br />

drive to Habichen and hike across the Wellerbrücke bridge<br />

to the lake. We will then stay a while by the lake, let the<br />

atmosphere sink in and return after a refreshment stop.<br />

Follow the entire process of domestic sheep’s wool<br />

processing in the ‘Schafwollzentrum’ (sheep’s wool centre).<br />

From sheep-shearing to the making of regional products<br />

such as woven carpets, slippers or decorative blankets,<br />

you will learn all about the traditional handiwork of the<br />

Regensburger Family. You will also get to feel the different<br />

types of wool from the sheep of Ötztal Valleys farmers.<br />

Köfels high plateau. Around 9,000 years ago, a landslide<br />

permanently changed the terrain here. A cosy stop at a<br />

mountain hut awaits us towards the end of the hike, and an<br />

opportunity to reflect on a beautiful experience.<br />

take you to Sölden where you can explore the exhibition on<br />

your own and perhaps enjoy a delicious drink on the sun<br />

terrace. We will meet for the drive back at the valley station<br />

connection to the animals with their calm, charming nature<br />

and inquisitive behaviour. We will take you to the farm in<br />

Sölden before hiking along the panorama trail (approx. 1<br />

hour). After the hike, we will serve mulled wine and coffee/<br />

the story of the motorbike, from its origins in the late 19th<br />

century to the present day. We will take you to Hochgurgl<br />

where you can enjoy the museum’s exhibits at your leisure.<br />

Situated above the legendary Engelswand, Farst is one of<br />

the oldest settlements in the valley. The ascent through<br />

can quickly familiarise yourself with the site and easily<br />

sweet from our in-house pâtisserie from 15.00 to 16.30.<br />

For dinner, we spoil you from 18.00 to 21:00 in our hotel<br />

restaurant. We kindly ask that you wear appropriate<br />

clothing. Enjoy an aperitif before dinner and cap off<br />

Sturdy mountain or hiking boots are compulsory for<br />

hikes, and helmets are obligatory for ski guiding tours.<br />

Hiking boots, rucksacks, drinking bottles and sticks<br />

can be borrowed free of charge at hotel reception.<br />

Helmets are available for a fee directly at the ski shop<br />

in the basement.<br />

Activities can change at short notice due to the<br />

weather. We will let you know as early as possible. If<br />

All children aged 3 and over (out of nappies) are looked<br />

after.<br />

Our good mood programmes runs from 12.00 to 17.45,<br />

with alternating activities as per the plan.<br />

We meet again for fun and games in the playroom of<br />

the hotel from 19.00 to 21.00.<br />

Registration for childcare and trips:<br />

On the previous day at hotel reception by 19.00. We<br />

require your name, the name of your child and your<br />

number. Furthermore, we ask that you leave your<br />

phone number so we can get in touch with you ‘just<br />

in case’.<br />

Meeting place for trips is the playroom. We ask that<br />

you bring your children with weather-appropriate<br />

clothing (sturdy, warm winter shoes, snowsuit / winter<br />

jacket and trousers, gloves, hat).<br />

A supervised alternative programme (playing,<br />

painting, gymnastics etc.) takes place in the playroom<br />

in the hotel in cases of bad weather.<br />

All activities require a declaration of consent by<br />

parents or legal guardians.<br />

Parents are liable for their own children.<br />

Participation at own risk.<br />

Fare: There’s always something to drink<br />

(water, cordial) available to kids for free<br />

in the playroom of the hotel.<br />

Cost: Unless stated otherwise,<br />

childcare is free of charge.<br />

SKIBUS<br />

The ski bus runs every ten minutes from the hotel to<br />

Sölden between 8.14 and 11.14 am every day. The stop is<br />

right at the entrance to the thermal spa garage. The<br />

buses return right back to the hotel from 14.00 onwards!<br />

SKI R<strong>EN</strong>TAL AND SKI SCHOOL<br />

Of course, you need professional equipment for the<br />

perfect ski holiday. You can get rental equipment from<br />

current top brands – from skis to sticks and boots<br />

to helmets, snowboards and toboggans – at our ski<br />

rental. Cross-country skiing equipment can be rented<br />

as well. Skiing lessons can also be booked in the shop.<br />

E-BIKE R<strong>EN</strong>TAL AND TOURS<br />

E-bikes can be hired directly from the AQUA PLAZA<br />

shop in the thermal bath.<br />

Full-day rate: 09.00 - 18.00 EUR 44<br />

Half-day rate: 09.00 - 13.00 or 14.00 - 18.00 EUR 34<br />

2 hours tariff: 09.00 - 11.00, 11.00 - 13.00,<br />

14.00 - 16.00, 16.00 - 18.00 EUR 24<br />

For each additional hour we charge EUR 5.<br />

A deposit of EUR 50 is charged for the obligatory<br />

bicycle helmet. A liability waiver must be signed upon<br />

rental.<br />

Depending on the weather, e-bike tours with our bike<br />

guides can be offered at short notice. Please refer to<br />

the daily house newspaper for details.<br />
