3.A INTERIOR DESIGN<br />

The interior of the apartment has been<br />

designed by the prestigious Minotti Marbella,<br />

creating a unique and uniform style for the<br />

apartment’s different rooms.<br />

The overall concept consists of different spaces, corresponding to rooms or<br />

zones inside and outside the apartment, connected to each other through the<br />

colorimetry, shapes and textures of the different furniture and accessories.<br />

Warm and welcoming spaces have been established in the communal areas,<br />

starting with a living room with sofas and low tables combining straight and<br />

curved lines, complemented by tall lamps and dynamic decorative elements.<br />

Light colours and textile, wooden and metallic textures combine with the earth<br />

tone of the walls to provide a uniform look. This colour scheme extends to the<br />

dining room area, presided by a large marble table and shell chairs, which are<br />

also found at the kitchen’s breakfast bar.<br />

To highlight the kitchen, it has been decorated in black<br />

monochrome, where the walls, furniture and appliances blend into<br />

the same tone, playing with the space through the textures and<br />

The bedrooms have individual but related styles, with straightlined<br />

beds with matching headboards and nightstands, as well as<br />

complementary chairs and lamps, all on light-toned carpets that<br />

contrast with the wooden floor.<br />

The lighting choice throughout the house is one of the highlights, absorbing the<br />

The extensive terraces create differentiated and individualised spaces using<br />

organic shapes and a circular dining table with wicker chairs. Rounded shapes, light<br />

tones and natural textures predominate and are combined in the chillout area, which<br />

has a lounger sofa and multiple armchairs and coffee tables.<br />

The upper terrace is distinguished with straight furniture, both the sun loungers and<br />

the sitting area, which has a large sofa in stone tones that contrasts with the porcelain<br />

floor. Finally, a large round table with shell-style chairs allows you to enjoy the outdoor<br />

The entire community has LED lighting sources with<br />

obtaining high-quality lighting both inside the homes<br />

The lighting strategies employed avoid generating<br />

light pollution, and the buildings are designed with<br />

large window openings that allow for optimal natural<br />

lighting and views of the sky.<br />

<strong>Palo</strong> <strong>Alto</strong>’s homes and community buildings are equipped<br />

with aerothermal and underfloor heating systems, as well as<br />

individualised mechanical ventilation systems to regulate the<br />

temperature in different rooms, thus ensuring greater energy<br />

efficiency. The fan coil cooling system has an outdoor unit located<br />

on the roof of the building and a compact indoor unit/tank<br />

where the air conditioning water is stored. In addition, envelope<br />

solutions have been applied to the exterior walls to reduce the<br />

dwelling’s energy demand, as well as energy losses.<br />

All the building’s sanitary installations are designed<br />

to minimise potable water consumption, and energy<br />

and water efficient appliances have been installed<br />

in all the dwellings. An ecologist has been hired<br />

for the outdoor areas and has carried out several<br />

environmental reports that have defined measures for<br />

rational water use by planting several native species.<br />

Selective waste collection is offered, with distinct<br />

containers assigned to each community. Information<br />

on recycling options for large materials or products<br />

is also provided, and a composting area has been<br />

designed for pruning waste from the gardens.<br />

environmentally responsible methodologies, with the aim of<br />

preserving and conserving the surroundings, reducing the<br />

impact on the environment as much as possible and managing<br />
