The play is a satirical Broadway classic that has fame, fortune, and jazz at its core. “A show becomes a classic when the themes can be constantly related to today’s age,” says director Ava Kepple. “The students have a different grasp on fame now, with media rapidly evolving. Seeing them dissect 1920s Americana, tackle the intense style of [choreographer and dancer Bob] Fosse, and belt out prominent songs will give the audience a true Broadway experience.” Performances are scheduled for Fri Mar 8, Sat Mar 9, Fri Mar 15 and Sat Mar 16 at 7:30 p.m. A matinee will be presented at 2pm on Sun Mar 10.
