she’d like to play the
title role in ‘Gypsy.’
“Ethel Merman had
such a big voice and
such a commanding
stage presence,” says
Deborah. “A truly
iconic role.”
GINA ROMANO of
Mickelton identifies
with Roxy Hart in
‘Chicago.’ “She knew
how to orchestrate
a desired outcome,”
says Gina. “She
would have made
a great real estate
agent.”
Pittsgrove’s
NICK VICKERS
can see himself as
Jean Valjean in ‘Les
Miserables.’ “He was
a good man who did
what he had to do
for his family,” says
Nick. “A truly noble
character.”
Pine Hill’s GINA
COPPOLA didn’t
hesitate: “I’d play the
part of Nala in ‘The
Lion King,’” she says.
“I loved that little lion
so much I named my
first puppy after her.
A Rottweiler!”
CARRIE VICKERS of
Pittsgrove says she
adored the character
(Sandy) that Olivia
Newton-John played
in ‘Grease.’ “The
outfits, the hair, the
music, the lyrics, the
dancing ... ‘You’re the
One that I Love!’”
RYAN PHILLIPS of
Moorestown says
he’ll never be a rock
musician, “so I might
as well play one on
Broadway.” Who,
specifically? “I’d be
Bruce Springsteen
in ‘Springsteen on
Broadway’ or Billy
Joel in ‘Movin’ Out.’”
