It was builtby César Pelli, the same architect whodesigned the Petronas Towers in KualaLumpur, in collaboration with Madrid'sOrtiz León Architectural Studio. Its carvedcrystal façade and the dome's vertical gardenmake it stand out as one of the mostspectacular buildings in Madrid.a FOUR TOWERS COMPLEXMADRIDThe design of the Cepsa Tower, by theBritish architect Norman Foster, is reallysurprising, with the floors arranged in a sortof vertical staircase and with a metallic archstanding out over the top of the building.Meanwhile, the PwC Tower was thework of the Spanish architects CarlosRubio Carvajal and Enrique Álvarez-Sala Walter. This is the only one youcan actually visit, as it contains one ofMadrid's most luxurious hotels, whichoccupies up to the 31st floor wherethere is a luxurious restaurant with fantasticpanoramic views of Madrid.Next to this there's the Torre Espacio(Space Tower), designed by Ieoh MingPei and Henry N. Cobb. From a squarebase, a curved curtain wall rises up, asif it were a living organism sprouting upfrom the depths.21
