On the afternoon of our Christmas
Party, the Year 9s set off to a Po
Leung Kuk school for underprivileged
Primary school students. We had
previously built game booths for the
students to play in class so we were
looking forward to showing off our
hard work! The students had a lot of
fun and really enjoyed the Christmas
themed games; they were overjoyed
when we drew hearts and stars on
cards to give to them when they
finished a booth. On top of that, they
also received a “Box of Joy” with
Christmas gifts inside!
Not everyone is lucky enough to spend
time with their families and friends
during Christmas, so we were glad to
have spread some holiday spirit. Serving
the underprivileged was a great
experience and it made us realise how
lucky we are to be surrounded by loving
friends and family this holiday season;
hence, we should make every effort we
can to have a positive influence on
those less fortunate. It may not have
been much, but it gave us an
opportunity to spread kindness and let it
blossom.
