<strong>Lamena</strong> <strong>Lahgo</strong> :<br />

Known too as Teklal Neguib and Talulah Naakre, <strong>Lamena</strong> <strong>Lahgo</strong> is a<br />

writer, poet, artist and the former EIC/founder <strong>of</strong> L.ART en Loire<br />

(average c. 100 000 read./issue//2013-2018).<br />

Published in various magazines such as Internet Poetry, Minorites,<br />

Artefact, Queen Mob’s Teahouse, BonjourPoesie, Bloganozart,<br />

lorem_ipsum, L.ART en Loire/Céréales & Tubercules, VoiceIn Journal,<br />

and books (MACRO an anthology <strong>of</strong> image macro, <strong>The</strong> Twitter<br />

biography <strong>of</strong> Matthew Britton), some <strong>of</strong> her art was part <strong>of</strong> the online<br />

exhibition “Listen Audioselfies !” a group show curated <strong>by</strong> May Waver,<br />

and part <strong>of</strong> the exhibition “Nature insolite en ville” (group show,<br />

curated <strong>by</strong> Ville de Saint Nazaire, L’Atelier).


<strong>The</strong> concept<br />

<strong>The</strong> various poems-in-images presented here belong to the type <strong>of</strong><br />

<strong>poetry</strong> called Macro<strong>poetry</strong>.<br />

Macro<strong>poetry</strong> is an artistic concept having emerged during the 2010’s.<br />

It was/is an poetic movement born on internet and social media, most <strong>of</strong><br />

all tumblr and instagram, based on poems written on digital<br />

photographies, a sort <strong>of</strong> a modern ut picturia poesis.<br />

Sometimes there is no writings, the poem is simply an assembly <strong>of</strong><br />

various partially cut images, creating <strong>by</strong> themselves a poetic<br />

story/scene.<br />

If you want to explore macro<strong>poetry</strong>, you can read or buy the book<br />

“MACRO : An Anthology <strong>of</strong> Image Macros”, created <strong>by</strong> Michael Hessel-<br />

Mial and Penny Goring, and published <strong>by</strong> Boost House (2016).<br />

You will discover various artists working on that type <strong>of</strong> modern <strong>poetry</strong><br />

(among the poems, you will find my macropoem “Metamodernist<br />

Pyramid”)<br />
