LaBina ® devices for permanent make-up treatments

General information about our pigmentation devices

Infectious diseases are increasing rapidly worldwide. There are many different

ways in which infections can spread. During a skin pigmentation as part of a

permanent make-up treatment, a small amount of lymphatic fluid and blood may

escape. If the treatment is carried out improperly or if unsuitable pigmentation

devices are used, there is a higher risk of infection.

Just a few drops of blood or serum on a poorly disinfected or sterilised

pigmentation device or reusable pigmentation needles can transfer germs.

But permanent make-up providers who are ill themselves can also infect their

clients through something a small as a cut on their hands, for example.

Studies have shown that people who get tattooed are at a higher risk of being

infected with hepatitis than people who don’t. The high proportion of infected

people with tattoos is largely due to poor hygiene standards in the studio where

the treatment is carried out.

If hygienic standards are neglected and non-sterile instruments are used,

hepatitis viruses can be transmitted. If the treatments are performed by people

who have not been sufficiently trained in this area or if disinfection measures,

gloves and single-use materials are ignored or not used for financial reasons,

the risk of clients being infected with hepatitis C infection increases regardless

of other factors.

However, hygiene is an area that is often neglected.

Even permanent make-up providers who have been performing these types

of treatments for a long time sometimes fail to take the necessary precautions

to protect themselves and their clients from infectious diseases, either out of

ignorance or negligence.

The following health risks can be caused by a permanent make-up treatment

being performed incorrectly:

• Viral infections

• Hepatitis B/C/D

• HIV infection

Our LaBina ® pigmentation devices

For many years now our team has been working solely with cartridge pigmentation

devices. These devices are manufactured in series production with the greatest

care and in accordance with the highest quality standards. They are then sold

all around the world under the protected LaBina ® trademarks. Our cartridge

systems ensure maximum sterility and offer a wide range of other major benefits.

As permanent make-up presents comparable risks to tattoos, the requirements

concerning permanent make-up providers, hygiene and pigmentation devices

are very high.

The safety concept

Many standard tattooing and pigmentation devices are not suitable for the

gentle and artistic LaBina ® pigmentation method. The German medical device

manufacturer MT.Derm ® , based in Berlin, develops pigmentation devices that

offer above-average safety when it comes to sterility. These devices meet our

high quality standards. In addition to the hygienic safety, we love these devices

because of their precise needle strokes and vibration-free operation.

The digital control units ensure a consistent needle frequency that can be set

depending on the area of application and planned pigmentation.

The surfaces of the LaBina ® control units are equipped with a membrane keypad.

This means that they are easy to clean and that no dirt can get stuck between

the keys and buttons.

LaBina ® pigmentation devices are perfect for permanent make-up

professionals.

With the handpieces, the needle and needle nozzle consists of a single-use

cartridge. As such, a new cartridge must be used for each new customer and

even each new colour. The cartridges should only be removed from their sterile

packaging just before a treatment. The rapidly moving parts in a conventional

handpiece can cause air turbulence which can carry a potential infection risk. The

back of our cartridges are covered by a membrane which protects the handpiece

from contamination from fluids and circulating air.

The patented cartridge technology of our pigmentation devices almost completely

excludes any transfer of germs from customer to customer, or from the person

performing the treatment to the customer and vice versa.

The advantages for your clients are evident.

With bundled needles, several dots of colour can be drawn at the same time with

a single needle stroke. This means that the length of the treatments are shorter

with our tried and tested LaBina ® pigmentation method.

It also reduces the risk of the skin being cut with thin

individual needles because lots of lines need

to be drawn next to each other.

The colour injection is saturated and the treatment is much more comfortable for

your clients, particularly on the edges of the eyelids and the lips. When applied

correctly fewer injuries occur and the skin heals quickly.

In addition, the cartridges are designed to provide incomparable accuracy,

particularly when it comes to drawing fine hairs. The wide range of needle

combinations that we offer means that you can draw fine, small hairs and shade

or cover large areas.

The needle in the 1 point Liner cartridge has a diameter of 0.4 mm

and looks similar to a pin.

Practical tip:

This cartridge is particularly well-suited for drawing precise, clear

and well-defined lines with a high colour density. The needle

penetrates the skin easily.

Safety information:

Be careful! Drawing over the same lines again and again with a single

needle can cut the skin. The result: visible scarring! Our 1 point

Liner cartridges are only suitable to a limited extent for drawing fine

eyeliner.

Practical tip:

The needles create a slightly thicker line. We recommend using the

3 point Outline cartridge to draw eyeliner that starts gentle and then

gets thinner towards the outer edge of the eye.

0.18 mm and are arranged very close together.

Practical tip:

Even though it is just as thin as the 1 point cartridge, the 3-needle

Micro cartridge adds more colour to the skin with each pass. The

sensation of pain is significantly reduced and it is often easier to

pigment sensitive, thin skin with a 3 point Micro cartridge.

0.25 mm. They have a thinner tip than the normal 3 point roundneedle

Practical tip:

The 3 point Outline cartridges do not feel as sharp as the 1 point

cartridges because they are arranged closer together. They slide into

the skin particularly well and draw a fine line. The colour injection is

denser than with the 1 point cartridges.

• Particularly suitable for thick eyeliner on the upper lid

with a fine start and pointed end

• It is also very popular for fine lip lining

4 point Flat cartridge (4 x 0.35 mm [Ø]) Needle Item numbers

With the 4 point Flat cartridges, the needles are arranged in a

horizontal line.

Practical tip:

If you want to draw a thicker line, make sure that the needle is guided

exactly across the line and that the handpiece is held vertical to the

skin. This ensures that all the needle tips inject the colour at the

same depth.

on how often you pass over the skin. We recommend using the 5

point Shader cartridge to shade lips and eyebrows.

We recommend using the 5 point Round cartridge to contour thick

lines and shade large areas.

The 5 point Magnum cartridge is a flat needle system. The 0.3 mm

needles in this cartridge are arranged in two lines of 2 + 3 needles.

Practical tip:

For a bold lip outline pigment lengthways and for shading and

colour filling pigment widthways. Make sure to hold the handpiece

vertically to ensure that all needles penetrate the skin to the same

depth.

With all Power cartridges, the needles are welded together. The

points are bevelled on one side and bent towards each other. This

allows you to draw denser lines with more colour.

Practical tip:

Avoid using the Power cartridge repeatedly on the same area of skin

during one treatment, instead apply the colour in as few steps as

possible.

the risk of skin damage!

Practical tip:

Users must have special training before using this needle

combination, which was specially developed by Dr. Linda Dixon. If

you hold the handpiece of the pigmentation device in the same way

as you would hold a pen, the needles will all pigment to the same

depth. This opens up many new possibilities for more efficient work.

LaBina ® Meso Liner handpiece

Our Meso handpiece has been specially developed by our device manufacturer MT.Derm ® for non-invasive mesotherapy and microneedling treatments. It is one of the

most progressive microneedling cartridge systems on the market. The ergonomically shaped streamlined handpiece is quiet with low vibration and fits easily in your

hand. It does not become unpleasantly hot even after longer usage. The stroke height of the cartridge can be adjusted using the settings on the handpiece. The device

corresponds to the latest standards for microneedling and non-invasive mesotherapy.

The handpiece is optimised for mesotherapy treatments and can be connected to all LaBina ® control units.

The microlifting and microneedling cartridges allow you to select the right cartridge for each treatment. They can be operated at a working speed of 50 to 150 strokes

per second.

• Suitable for treating lighter and darker skin tones (Fitzpatrick I–V)

Microneedling cartridges (6 x 0.30 mm / 6 x 0.70 mm metal tips)

The head of the cartridge is made up of 6 metal needles that inject

active ingredients into the skin through microperforations. Cell

renewal is encouraged.

Double effect with microneedling cartridge

The needles prick microscopically small holes in the skin, which

stimulates the skin’s natural healing process and increases collagen

and elastin production. This improves the natural elasticity of the skin.

Meso-cocktails are also injected into the skin during and not after

the treatment (as is often the case with many other microneedling

treatments).
