COURSE<br />
OBJECTIVE<br />
The ma<strong>in</strong> aim of this course is to improve<br />
the cl<strong>in</strong>ical reason<strong>in</strong>g beh<strong>in</strong>d the<br />
management of cardiac cases <strong>in</strong> daily<br />
practice. To achieve this, the course will<br />
focus on understand<strong>in</strong>g the fundamentals of<br />
cardiovascular physiology, enabl<strong>in</strong>g correct<br />
diagnosis and management of the most<br />
common cardiac diseases <strong>in</strong> dogs and cats.<br />

The <strong>post</strong>graduate programme<br />
comprises modules with theoreticalpractical<br />
lectures, enabl<strong>in</strong>g students to<br />
systematically approach cardiology<br />
cases. Each module will be taught by a<br />
European or American specialist (or<br />
residency-tra<strong>in</strong>ed) to ensure the highest<br />
quality tra<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>g.<br />
At the end of each module, students will<br />
have had the opportunity to review the<br />
physiology/pathophysiology, cl<strong>in</strong>ical<br />
presentation, diagnostic approach,<br />
treatment options, and prognosis of the<br />
most common cardiovascular diseases.<br />
Interaction with the lecturers is<br />
encouraged to share experiences and<br />
clarify any doubts.<br />
TARGET AUDIENCE<br />
Designed for professionals work<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong> first op<strong>in</strong>ion, emergencies, or those seek<strong>in</strong>g<br />
to specialise <strong>in</strong> cardiology via an <strong>in</strong>ternship or residency. Veter<strong>in</strong>arians who wish<br />
to deepen their knowledge <strong>in</strong> this area, update their skills, and learn <strong>in</strong>novative<br />
aspects applicable to daily practice will benefit from this <strong>post</strong>graduate<br />
programme. It is suitable for cl<strong>in</strong>icians with some experience <strong>in</strong> cardiology, as well<br />
