INFO Cutting nails<br />
Cut the nails a little at the time until the nail is level<br />
with the underside of the paw’s pad. (see diagram) If<br />
the dog has extremely long nails it is advisable to cut<br />
them weekly, this way the blood vessels will retreat<br />
back into the nail and it will allow the nail to be cut to<br />
the desired length- See diagram. Tip: Always keep a<br />
pot of styptic powder (stop bleed powder) close by<br />
when trimming nails.<br />
