A peek inside the Fortnightly
› Most Haddonfield residents are familiar with the
stately white building at the corner of Kings Hwy E
and Grove Street, but few have a clue about what
goes on inside.
You can find out at 7:30pm on Wed Mar 20 during
an Open House hosted by the owners and principal
occupants of the building, The Haddonfield
Fortnightly.
The invitation reads thus: “Ladies, have you been
thinking that it’s time to broaden your horizons,
make some changes in your routines or meet people
with whom you can work on charitable projects and
pursue common interests? Attend our Open House,
enjoy light refreshments with us, meet some of our
members, and learn about the civic and charitable
work and other activities that the club pursues. In
addition, you will have the opportunity to enjoy a
tour of our beautiful, historic building, where we
hold our meetings and host various social events
and functions and which we also make available to
the public for rentals.”
Club meetings are held monthly from September
through May, with a choice of afternoon or evening
meetings. Women of all ages and stages of life are
welcome as members.
