Winter Wonderland<br />
Just when we were ready to write off winter, we<br />
were hit with a wonderful snowstorm! Winter<br />
is back, then it’s not, then it is, and the season is<br />
now more interesting and fun with snowshoeing,<br />
cross-country skiing, downhill skiing and snowboarding, and colder temps<br />
for ice skating, ice fishing, winter carnivals and festivals – if not so in your backyard,<br />
go find it.<br />
Plan a ski trip, sign up for a snowshoe or a Nordic ski race – try it! With great<br />
sales, now’s also the time to pick up winter gear and clothing if you need it. Try winter<br />
camping, the <strong>February</strong> 15 Challenge, where you can visit a state or local park,<br />
trail nearby or even your own neighborhood – or get ready for the 29.3 Challenge<br />
of sprint road races. We hope the articles in these pages will motivate you to get<br />
out and play.<br />
