What is Homecare?
Homecare complements specialist nursing care, wheather from district nursing, wheather one is in ones individual
home or in a care facility.
This service includes training in the individual products and delivery of the medical supplies that are explanatory.
For example medical nutrition, ostomy or wound care.
The aim is to offer people maximum comfort and quality of life by having the Homecare Manager bring professional
support, advice and the necessary medical aids directly to their home or ensure that they are delivered.
The Homecare manager establishes, through networking, communication to all people and institutions involved in
the patients care and use of the specific medical aids. Even if this includes the transfer from inpatient to outpatient
care and comuncation with the health insurance comanies, privat or not.
These services should always be seen as complementary to nursing or social services and should not be confused
with outpatient nursingcare or nursingcare in a care facility.
