quick to point out that it isn’t her favorite part of
her job. Whether she’s taking photos in N’West
Iowa or in France or South Africa, it’s all about
the people.
“Most importantly, for me, is that I get to be
there for people’s most extraordinary moments. It
is an honor to be able to witness that — weddings,
births, family milestones, funerals sometimes, senior
portraits — these are all big, big moments in
a person’s life, and I get to be a part of that,” Jenni
said.
“Anytime someone hires me to be their photographer
the gravity of this is not lost on me. It’s
all very exciting, but in the end, the hand squeeze
and sweet teary glance between a groom and his
mom, that’s everything. Or how every groom
twists his ring around his finger while he gets
used to the new feeling. Or mom’s face when she
sees her daughter coming down the aisle, I mean,
honestly not a whole lot of people get to see her
at that moment, and that’s everything.”
Jenni stays busy with her business and her
family. In addition to the seniors, families and
weddings she photographs, she also enjoys helping
small businesses and brands distinguish
themselves. She’s worked with artists, a florist,
hospitals, a woodworker and a chocolatier.
A camera is an integral part of Jenni’s career,
but viewing life through the lens of a camera is
just a part of who she is.
