The Head ofLibrary at Reed’s, Cathy Horton, refinedthese essential skills in her prior role in theAcademic Support department. She alsohas repurposed the Library into an area thatteaches pupils how to learn by bringing itinto the 21st century with spaces to workcollaboratively and independently and a hostof digital resources alongside the traditionalprinted ones.Pupils have a range of learning approachesto use, signposted in a programme called‘Revision Hacks’, producing a set of cardsthat are clear, concise, colourful and easyto use. They’re available in printed formatas well as via an app, which all pupils haveon their iPads.
