File Transfer Protocol (FTP)

File Transfer Protocol (FTP), using ports 20 and 21, is a great way to share

files between systems. FTP server software exists for most operating systems,

so you can use FTP to transfer data between any two systems regardless of

the OS. To access an FTP site, you must use an FTP client such as FileZilla,

although most Web browsers provide at least download support for FTP. Just

type in the name of the FTP site. Figure 21-34 shows Firefox accessing a

NASA FTP site.
