Domain Organization Active Directory stores everything about a network.

One way to see the Active Directory is to log on directly to the domain

controller and run the Active Directory Users and Computers utility—the tool

that provides basic Active Directory functions (see Figure 19-38). Note the

name of the domain (in this case totalhome.local) on the left side. The folders

underneath the domain name show the domains’ organization. Those really

aren’t folders. They’re called organizational units (even though they look like

folders), but we’ll save that definition for a moment. Here are a few of the

more noteworthy folders.
