Search and Select
Your Courses online

RULES TO SELECT THE COURSES
At selecting the courses you must consider:
• A full workload at the School of Design
of Politecnico di Milano is 30 credits (ECTS) per
semester. This normally equates to 3 or 4
courses per semester.
• The courses you’ll select should be coherent with
your program and level of studies.
• You can select from 6 credits minimum up to
30-36 credits maximum per semester.
• You can select maximum 3 Elective
Courses per semester
• You can select courses in other Schools (ARQ or
ENG) for a maximum of 12 credits per semester.
• All the courses are subject to availability
It is important to consider
that due to possible
timetable clashes,
changes in scheduling
or high demand
for popular courses,
it is not possible
to guarantee access
to specific courses.
Therefore,
exchange students
are encouraged
to identify extra courses
as reserve in case of need
HOW TO SEARCH AND SELECT
YOUR COURSES
Please check this short tutorial
to see how to search the Courses
and read the respective
courses details and timetable:
HITS AND TIPS AT SELECTING THE COURSES
• We recommend to attend 1 design studio and 2 or 3
small courses of 6 ects each. This is the recommended
study load per semester for a full time student.
• Do not select only small courses since you’ll have extra
work to do in each course you’re attending.
• Select «Erasmus Experience» only if you wish to attend
one of the workshops held on February (see page 10)
• You can identify the Elective Courses among the track
«non diversified», they are offered in the 3rd year Bachelor
and in the 1st and 2nd year Master.
• Check the courses you’re selecting do not overlap, you can
find an option to make your Customized Schedule before
the study plan submission.
• Courses timetables will be also published around mid July in
our School website: School: Lessons timetable, calendars
and deadlines (polimi.it) You'll be able to have a look there
to all the courses timetables for each program in Design.
