If roses grow in heaven,
Lord please pick a bunch for me,
Place them in my Mother’s arms
and tell her they’re from me.
Tell her I love her and miss her,
and when she turns to smile,
place a kiss upon her cheek
and hold her for awhile.
Because remembering her is easy,
I do it every day,
but there’s an ache within my heart
that will never go away.

Diane Maria
RICHARDSON
In loving memory, we honor Richardson, a devoted
mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin,
and friend. Her heart exuded authenticity, defining
her as a beautiful soul deeply committed to her
family. Diane’s pure adoration and admiration for
her children were evident to all who knew her.
Born on August 2, 1959, to Mrs. Celester
Richardson and Mr. Rouse Pittman, Diane became
the cherished eighth child, baby sister to Robert,
Carl, Corine, Mary, Ulysses “Ham”, Willie C,
Dennis, and Leonard, and big sister to Rouse “Lil
Matt”.
Educated in Orlando, Florida, Diane’s journey
unfolded with grace. In 1976, she met Gregory
Clarett, and together, they welcomed four healthy
babies – Lorenzo, Sharon, Carolyn, and Gregory
“Lil Greg”, whom they both loved with all their
hearts.
Diane’s distinguished career in the hospitality
industry spanned over 38 years, marked by
recognition for her outstanding service. Her impact
extended beyond professional realms, touching the
lives of peers and countless families she served.
Known for her compassion, Diane’s kindness and
generosity left an enduring legacy. Her endearing
words, “hey baby,” echoed with warmth and
sincerity. A sweetheart who radiated joy, Diane’s
smile and love will forever resonate. Her departure
leaves a void that cannot be filled—an irreplaceable
soul deeply missed by all who knew and loved
her. In our hearts, Diane’s memory will endure, a
beacon of everlasting love.
Diane was preceded in death by: her mother,
Celester Pittman Richardson; father, Rouse
Pittman; and her brothers, Robert Richardson and
Willie C. Richardson.
She is survived by: her sons, Lorenzo Richardson
(Jasmine) and Gregory Richardson (Diana);
daughters, Sharon Richardson and Carolyn Clarett
Richardson; special niece, Anita Richardson; along
with 11 grandchildren. Diane is also survived by: her
siblings: brothers, Carl Richardson (Rosemary),
Ulysses Richardson, Dennis Richardson, Leonard
Richardson, and Rouse Pittman Richardson;
sisters, Florine “Corine” Scott (Elsa), and Mary
Richardson Pryce; Additionally, she leaves behind
a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Mommy
Mommy, my girl, I miss you so much. I cannot comprehend this at all.
Not hearing your voice, our daily visits, and your evening call.
You telling me what you need and where to go. Asking, have I spoken to my brother Lo.
Sharing how gorgeous Sharon painted your nails,
And your makeup so flawless and pretty.
How your handsome baby boy Greg just came by, always so happy to see him.
I remember being a kid and hearing you always speak up for me.
I was so happy with you being my mommy.
You loved your babies so much.
Reminiscing on our matching outfits and beach days in Clermont.
The capri suns and ribbons in me and my sister’s hair.
Charming dresses with a dazzling flair
The fresh haircuts on your two boys.
On the porch, set their bucket of toys.
The memories of the blue stairs in Orange Center.
And fun at the playground.
Knowing your protection, watchful eye, and motherly love was always around.
As adults, you were your babies’ biggest cheerleaders, so loud.
Our Queen Mommy, now we hear you from the clouds.
You left attributes for your babies to inherit.
From your determination, hard work, resilience, and compassion.
Your baby Greg, pretty girl Sharon, baby girl Carolyn, and your son Lucky Lo.
From us all, your legacy of love will forever flow.
Now a journey without you to embark. Reluctant as time makes its mark.
The seconds tick, a painful part.
You departed so soon, breaking our hearts.
Some may deem it not strong when they see my tears flow.
Only those without a mother will truly know.
Strength in tears, such a heartfelt start, in the precious echoes of mommy’s heart.
You see, we did not lose a mother, we gained an angel to fly above.
A heavenly reminder of your endless love.
And even though you’re not here in sight,
You’re forever and always our guiding light.
