What’s been happening at Beaconsfield Town Council? Happy New Year! We hope you all had a great Christmas and hope you’re sticking to your New Year’s resolutions! over £1300 for the Mayor’s charities (South Bucks Hospice & NSPCC) We’ve been busy at the town council with the Budgeting season and planning projects for the year ahead. It’s 6 months since we brought our Grounds Maintenance service in house, a huge undertaking, and we’ve been so pleased with the public response during that time. During the winter, there’s not so much mowing to do, but there’s still plenty of work to do around the Town Council’s green spaces, especially to make sure our trees are inspected and well maintained. Recycle your Christmas Tree How will you dispose of your Christmas Tree? We will recycle your tree so that you don’t have that headache. Plus you’ll know that it will be making a positive contribution to keeping Beaconsfield green! Real trees only. Watch see our notice boards, website and Facebook page for details. Christmas Lights Switch-on 25th November 2023 Beaconsfield Old Town turned out in force to help us switch on the Christmas Lights and enjoy our Christmas Market and performances by local school and adult choirs, bell ringers, ballet dancers and Father Christmas himself popped in on his sleigh complete with snow! Mayor Jackson Ng lead the countdown and pushed the plunger to turn on the lights across Beaconsfield Town. Community Bus The Community Bus is up and running again, 5 days a week from 10 until 3pm, please see the revised map for routes and times on the centre page of this magazine. Why not pull it out and stick it on the fridge so you always have it to hand!
