Join the palace history cooks to
find out what life was like working
in the royal kitchens in the 16th
century. Originally staffed by 200
people, these kitchens fed over
450 people twice a day. Find out
all about the recipes and methods
used to please the tastes of the
royal court. You can even have a
go at working the tournebroche,
turning the meat in front of the
roaring fires. Tudor Cookery and
Roasting is included in palace
admission; please check opening
times for the day of your visit.

activity as well as wander around
the grounds to find out more
about what Hever Castle, rated

Solle, the founder of lifestyle blog
cultivate the life will be sharing
tips on how to reduce food waste
and eat well on a budget. Plus,
she will be running some handy
and informative free workshops

on how to turn an old t-shirt
into a bag (feel free to bring one
along) or how to make beeswax
candles (10th February), how to
make a conker laundry pouch
or a bird feeder (15th February),
make a dishcloth from old tights,
socks or leggings or a stick photo
frame (16th February), an egg
carton herb planter or a coffee
body scrub (17th February).

This local fair will have lots of
stalls selling unique and interesting
retro, vintage and antique items.
There will also be small furniture
and gold and silver jewellery. While
you’re there, you can also stop
by the Café which will be open
and serving bacon rolls, all-day
breakfast, cakes and lunches from
12 noon. Dogs always welcome.
