We celebrated the release of two Christian<br />
prisoners in Algeria this year. The two men<br />
– whose names are withheld for security<br />
purposes – were arrested and imprisoned<br />
for producing Christian radio and TV<br />
programs. Sadly, they were arrested on<br />
Christmas Eve, and have been sitting in jail<br />
ever since. Their families had no means<br />
of support, so we provided them with<br />
necessities. One family is expecting a baby.<br />
Meanwhile, our Advocacy team worked<br />
closely on their case behind the scenes<br />
with U.S. government officials, sharing<br />
information about the prisoners and other<br />
persecuted Christians in Algeria. Our work<br />
contributed to the men recently being<br />
released to their families. Praise the Lord!<br />
This is an example of how the three areas<br />
of our ministry work together – assistance<br />
(provided aid to the families), advocacy<br />
(worked with top level officials), and<br />
awareness (told the world about their<br />
case).<br />
None of this would be possible without<br />
the sacrifices of our friends and donors.<br />
