Renowned for their construction expertise on
the “rock,” Woodstekke celebrates a decade of
excellence this year. Built by Yohan Stekke, an expert
with 20 years of experience, the company’s proficiency is
in carpentry, roofing, woodworking, and zinc work, thanks
to their expert crew. “That which distinguishes us, is also
the strength in numbers: there are 18 of us working here!,”
notes the company founder.
Originally from Brest and raised in Martinique, Yohan Stekke
eventually settled in Saint Barth in 2009. With the soul of
a sailor, this native of Brittany was first drawn to naval
carpentry, and through his training discovered a passion
for the building trades. Now a sturdy structure in and of
itself, Woodstekke is ready to meet the most demanding
architectural challenges on the planet, and is known for its
exceptional professionalism and savoir-faire, collaborating
with numerous architectural firms on the island. Proud to
work with the residents of Saint Barthélemy, the company
is happy to have woven strong, long-lasting relationships
with many of its individual clients.
As the backbone of Woodstekke, Yohan Stekke knows he
can always count on his partner, Filipe Da Cunha Faria:
“Together we supervise the crews on six or seven work
sites at a time.” Based at the company’s superb offices,
the epitome of Woodstekke’s elegance and functionality,
Yohan Stekke manages the company and leads his team
with passion.
From plans on the drawing board to fabrication in the
atelier and completion of the project on site, Woodstekke
ensures an integrated, meticulous approach. Carpentry,
roofing, wood cladding, decks, staircases, parquet flooring,

Incontournable de la construction bois sur le caillou,
Woodstekke célèbre cette année une décennie
d’excellence. Édifiée par Yohan Stekke, passionné du
métier fort de vingt ans d’expérience, l’entreprise s’impose
aujourd’hui dans la charpente, la couverture, la menuiserie
et la zinguerie grâce à une équipe experte. « Ce qui nous
distingue, c’est aussi la force de frappe: on est dix-huit à
travailler ici ! », indique son fondateur.
Originaire de Brest et élevé en Martinique, Yohan pose
finalement ses valises à Saint-Barth en 2009. Âme de
marin d’abord attirée par la charpenterie navale, le breton
se découvre à travers sa formation dans le bâtiment une
passion. Désormais structure inébranlable, Woodstekke est
prête à relever les défis architecturaux les plus exigeants sur
terre et se distingue par son professionnalisme et son savoirfaire
exceptionnel, collaborant avec de nombreux cabinets
d’architecture sur l’île. Fière de travailler avec les habitants
de Saint-Barthélemy, l’entreprise se félicite d’avoir réussi à
nouer des relations de confiance et durables avec ses clients
particuliers.
À l’ossature de Woodstekke, Yohan Stekke peut notamment
compter sur son associé Filipe Da Cunha Faria. « Ensemble,
nous supervisons les équipes sur les six ou sept chantiers
en cours. » C’est depuis les superbes bureaux de l’entreprise,

Woodstekke, que Yohan Stekke s’attèle à la gestion de la
société et pilote son équipe avec passion.
