Lolita Jaca, for and with others
It’s all about Faby Jaca’s meetings with people. First there
was Rudolf Nureyev, in 1992 on her first flight to Saint
Barthélemy, like a harbinger. Then there was her girlfriend,
who pushed her into sales, for those clients seeking
something different. And her encounter with herself,
her taste for design, for things that are well made. And
an encounter with the wise advice of her sister, as they
created the universe of Lolita Jaca. Plus, encounters with all
the people who work with her today, producing the dresses
that feature the stylish patterns that Faby seeks out and
prints on beautiful fabrics that resist the sands of time. And
reflecting her instinct for color and beauty. But it’s above all
her meeting with Saint Barth: “An island that offers so much
to women and which brought out my self-confidence, my
creative spirit.”
The sun is like a frangipani blossom.
“It was an island where you could express yourself. At the
age of 20, anything was possible.”
Over time, the laidback lifestyle and beautiful environment
nourished Poupette’s creativity. Since 1995 when she
opened her first boutique in a garden, close to the beach

C’est une histoire de rencontres pour Faby Jaca. En
premier lieu avec Rudolf Noureev, en 1992 lors de son
premier vol vers Saint-Barthélemy, comme un présage.
Avec cette amie, qui l’aura poussée dans la vente; avec
tous ces clients, à la recherche de quelque chose de
différent. Une rencontre avec elle-même, son goût pour
la création, pour les choses bien faites. Une rencontre
avec les conseils avisés de sa sœur aussi, l’autre
hémisphère de Lolita Jaca. Avec tous ces humains qui
aujourd’hui travaillent sur ses robes, avec ces motifs
que Faby quête, fixe et imprime sur tissu noble dans
leur traversée du temps; avec son instinct pour la
couleur et pour ce qu’il y a de plus beau.
C’est d’abord une rencontre avec Saint-Barth. « Une île
qui apporte beaucoup aux femmes et aura fait ressortir
en moi cette confiance, cet esprit de création ».
Le soleil est une fleur de frangipanier.
« C’était une île où l’on pouvait s’exprimer. À vingt ans,
j’avais tout à créer, il y avait tout à faire. »
Au fil du temps, douceur de vivre et beauté environnante
ont nourri la créativité de Poupette.. Depuis 1995 et
l’ouverture de sa première boutique dans un jardin,
près de la plage de Saline, Poupette offre aux femmes
de l’île une façon de la vivre, dans la joie. Poupette,
c’est cette alchimie entre «île et elle», une garde-robe
