Lot # Wine Year M D Comment
Cellar Offering 189
5082 Bourgogne Aligoté, AOC 2008 8 9 Drink while the fruit is ripe and fresh. There is nothing worse
than poor fruit.
5083 Bourgogne Hautes-Côtes-de-Beaune 2008 8 8 Lovely now. It has several years life to come.
Blanc, La Justice, AOC
5084 Saint Romain, La Combe Bazin, AOC 2008 6 7 Fine mineral structure. A very good middle of the road white.
Fine Chardonnay characters.
5085 Bourgogne Hautes-Côtes-de-Beaune, 2008 6 7 Light and a touch disappointing at the moment. Give it a
AOC year or two in bottle to emerge.
5086 Auxey-Duresses, AOC 2008 6 7 Well structured. Fine fruit. Will be ready by next year.
5087 Beaune, Les Bons Feuvres, AOC 2008 6 6 Lovely, fine Pinot Noir nose that will develop both fine flavour
and aroma profiles over the next year.
5088 Pommard, Les Tavannes, AOC 2008 6 6 Very fine wine. Pinot is so small compared to the heavy weight
reds. Don’t expect more of it than the grape can give.
5089 La Source de Vignelaure Rosé, 2008 8 9 Certainly one of the finest Rosés produced anywhere, and
AOC Côteaux d’Aix en Provence by anyone, in France.
5090 Le Page de Vignelaure Rosé, 2008 8 8 The senior borther of Lot 5089, rather fuller bodied.
Vin de Pays de Méditerranée A food wine.
5091 La Source de Vignelaure, 2007 7 7 Wonderful red wine. Needs time for the concentration to
AOC Côteaux d’Aix en Provence come together.
5092 Château Vignelaure, 2005 6 7 Archetypally full-bodied, a wonderful red from a great property.
AOC Côteaux d’Aix en Provence
5093 Château Vignelaure, AOC Côteaux 2000 8 9 One of the fabulous wines made by David O’Brian. Now mature,
d’Aix en Provence, Magnums it has only gained, rather than dissipated, any of its class.
5094 Sauvignon/Chardonnay, 2007 8 9 A wine of balance, harmony and freshly vigourous acidity.
Caracter de l’Ansée,
Vin de Pays de la Loire
5095 Sauvignon Blanc, AOC Touraine, 2008 8 8 Surely the best Sauvignon Blanc from the Middle Loire
Domaine Gibault vineyards.
5096 Rosé, Frisson d’Été”, 2008 9 9 Light as a feather and dusted with fruit flavours, it is intended
AOC Touraine Rosé, Domaine Gibault to be opened early. Enjoy this year.
5097 Gamay, Friandise, AOC Touraine, 2008 8 9 Fresh. Sappy. Acidic. A delight when served fresh/cool.
Domaine Gibault
5098 Cabernet/Côt, Emotion, AOC Touraine, 2008 7 8 Green and stalky, give it another year in bottle.
Domaine Gibault
5099 Crémant de Loire, AOC Crémant de Loire, N.V. 9 9 Perfect party wine. Not just fizz, but fine wine with a fizz.
Flore and Emmanuel Rialland,
Domaine du Pont de Livier
5100 Côteaux du Layon, AOC Côteaux du Layon, 2008 7 7 Take time, this will live for many years.
Flore and Emmanuel Rialland,
Domaine du Pont de Livier
5101 Rosé d’Anjou, AOC Rosé d’Anjou, 2008 8 9
Flore and Emmanuel Rialland,
Domaine du Pont de Livier
5102 Pouilly Fumé, AOC Pouilly Fumé, 2008 7 7 One of the best wines of the whole appellation. Good,
Jean-Paul Mollet, Domaine Mollet-Maudry ripe, “sweet” fruit.
5103 Sancerre Blanc, AOC Sancerre, 2008 7 8 A wine that often disappoints, but not this one from
Florian Mollet, Domaine Mollet-Maudry Jean-Paul Mollet.
5104 Sancerre Rouge, AOC Sancerre, 2007 7 7 Looking for elegance? Look no further. This is marvellously
Florian Mollet, Domaine Mollet-Maudry complete.
