DOC, Cantine Delibori nose and palate. Good now.
4999 Amarone Della Valpolicella Classico, 2005 6 6 Smooth. Unctuous. Tastes like all of the fruit in a
DOC, Azienda Agricola Ca’ La Bionda Christmas cake.
5000 Sangiovese Toscano Rosso, IGT, 2008 8 8 Nothing to write home about, but decent stuff and great
Fratelli Corsi with pasta.
5001 Chianti, DOCG, Fratelli Corsi 2008 8 8 Quite an ordinary wine, but it will give a good account if
enjoyed with food.
5002 Vernaccia di San Gimignano, DOCG, 2008 9 9 A wine that is best when young.

Le Preselle, Agricoltori del Geografico Everyone who is anyone piled in, bought land and the wines
are now showing why. This is great and will be better yet.
5004 Chianti Classico, DOCG, Lucignano, 2007 6 6 Fine chocolate and vanilla notes mixed with saddle leather
Gallo Nero, Agricoltori del Geografico and blackberries. Lovely now, but it will keep going on and on.
5005 Rosso di Montalcino, DOC, Castello 2007 7 7 Very big and full. A keeper.

Cerraia, Agricoltori del Geografico When young, its wines are like drinking gravel. This has now
begun to take seriously softer profiles.
5008 Brunello di Montalcino, DOCG, 2004 6 7 This has such life still to come. It could be put aside for
Castello Tricerchi, Agricoltori del Geografico another two years at least.
5009 Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi Classico, 2008 9 9 Lovely and fresh, enjoy now to capture those characters.

5013 Orvieto Classico, DOC, Fratelli Corsi 2008 9 9 Don’t risk this white losing its “flower of youth”. Drink this year.
5014 Grechetto dell’Umbria, IGT Umbria, 2008 9 9 Very fine local (Italian) variety. Quality with substance.

5016 Pecorino Colli Aprutini, IGT, 2008 9 9 Only attractive when youthful. Drink now.

5017 Montepulciano d’Abruzzo, DOC, 2008 8 8 A wine from an area that invariably produces rough tannins.
Fratelli Corsi These are rough, but they add to, rather than detract from, the
characters.
5018 Catarrato, IGT Sicilia, Fiordiligi, 2008 8 8 Much more than a mere table wine, but treat as such and
Azienda Baglio Caruso enjoy it this year.
5019 Syrah, IGT Sicilia, Ruggiero, 2007 8 8 Stalwart stuff, drinks well. Full of gutsy gruff tannin.
