2736 Cornellana, Merlot Reserva 2002 9 10 Nothing wrong with this. It is ready, but still balanced.
2737 Cornellana Carmenère Reserva 2003 10 10 Great wine. Thankfully it has now softened all that brick wall
of tannin and the fruit now provide the pleasure.
2738 Cornellana, Merlot/Cabernet Sauvignon 2003 10 10 Rich and full flavoured. Well balanced. Very rich.

2740 Los Riscos, Cabernet Sauvignon 2003 10 10 A year ago I wrote “Beginning to fade.” It is still only
beginning to fade – drink on.
2741 Los Riscos Carmenère 2003 9 10 What a fine effort. Can be enjoyed and taken sparingly.
It has two or three more years.
2746 Casa Nueva, Carmenère 2003 10 10 This is the best of the ripe bunch of Carmenère from this
offering.
2747 Casa Nueva, Cabernet Sauvignon/ 2001 10 10 After watching closely for three years, we now suggest it is
Merlot Reserva time to enjoy and use every bottle this year.

2817 Château de Chambrun 2002 9 9 This was the first wine we offered from J-P Janoueix – it was
the sheer brilliance that drove us back to this cellar every year
since 2002.
2845 Château de Sours Rouge 2002 10 10 A very fine wine from an intermediate vintage. Use now.
2846 “La Source” 2002 8 8 A good wine with a fine and firm base. Can be retained for a
couple more years.

Wine Review 2010
The high quality of the harvest brought fireworks and
celebration across the entire Bordeaux region. Summer had been
made difficult by the heat – the temperatures were too high,
fires raged across Spain and Portugal, and in Germany the Rhine
was at its lowest level for decades. For the vines, there was a
dire shortage of water in the ground and the fruit bunches were
rather dehydrated. The first week of glorious September cooling
breezes, followed by light but frequent showers that cooled the
air, brought relief. Light rain replenished the water around the
roots and the bunches swelled to perfect ripeness. The vintage
turned on its heel and produced wines of outstanding quality.
The wines of 2003 have developed magnificently, reinforcing
our original decision to make a special “futures” offer of several
wines. Full-bodied and rampant, with exuberant flavours, they still
show youth, but the immediacy of the fruit has calmed somewhat.
They are now showing balance, poise and structure.
