Lot # Wine Year M D Comment
4716 K1 by Geoff Hardy, Museum Release, 2001 9 10 Lovely, ripe and soft. A great wine for sipping in contemplation.
Cabernet Sauvignon, Adelaide Hills
4717 GMH Meritage, Limestone Coast/ 2006 7 8 Hard to tell this is a blend, as all of the varieties merge
Langhorne Creek/Adelaide Hills, seamlessly together.
Vineyard Series
4718 GMH Shiraz, Limestone Coast/ 2007 7 7 Rich bouquet, dark fruit and black cherries. Full-bodied.
Langhorne Creek, Vineyard Series
4719 GMH Petit Verdot, Limestone Coast, 2007 8 8 Developing its potential. It is good already and will continue
Vineyard Series to improve as it softens.
4722 Milyaroo Chardonnay, 2008 8 9 Delicious. No benefit to be had from delaying its use.
Southeast Australia
4723 Milyaroo Semillon/Chardonnay, 2008 8 9 Less intensely tropical than 4722, but just as easy and
Southeast Australia attractively flavoursome.
4724 Milyaroo Cabernet Sauvignon, 2008 7 8 Surprisingly easy and forward for a 2008 wine.
Southeast Australia
4725 Milyaroo Merlot, Southeast Australia 2008 8 8 Easy. The tannins are ripe and supple. Open during this year.
4726 Milyaroo Shiraz, Southeast Australia 2008 8 8 Ripe and full. Notes of prunes, dark plums and vanilla. Light
cedar smoke aromas.
4727 Richland Chardonnay, Southeast Australia 2008 9 9 Attractive notes of fruit acidity mingle comfortably with light
white fruit flavours.
4728 Richland Shiraz, Southeast Australia 2008 9 9 Supple. Dominated by fruit to the exclusion of tannin and
mass. Quite short, but ready.
4729 96 Points Shiraz/Viognier, Riverina 2007 7 8 Very successful blend, as elsewhere in Australia, the white
Viognier only brings attractive elements to this otherwise
spongey red. Open this year.
4730 96 Points Durif, Riverina 2007 6 7 Very full-bodied. Quite tough, still very tannic and the fruit
needs time to develop.
4731 Westend Estate “Three Bridges” 2008 7 8 Very successfully blended ripe fruit making this very enjoyable
Cabernet/Shiraz, King Valley now. Drink between 2010 and 2012.
4732 Westend Estate “Three Bridges” 2006 8 8 Rather stalky. Needs time for the fruit to open up in a
Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon, Riverina softer balanced context.
4733 Westend Estate “Three Bridges” 2006 7 8 Lovely. The ripe fruit from the much irrigated Riverina
Reserve Shiraz, Riverina vineyards has become more concentrated through reduction
of water during the first of the dry years.
Special Offering 45
4735 Spumante Amabile N.V. 10 10
4736 Regalia, Brut Nature N.V. 10 10 Frankly this is as good as many of the wines from Champagne.
4737 Torrontés, Sergio Traverso 2008 8 9
4738 Syrah, Sergio Traverso 2007 7 9
4739 Tempranillo, Sergio Traverso 2007 7 9 Great level of black fruit giving a jammy impression.
4740 Blend 1314, Sergio Traverso 2007 7 7 The best of the Traverso bunch. Rich and ripe.
4741 Compass Rose Malbec, 2007 7 9
Cafayate, Sergio Traverso
4742 Compass Rose Malbec, 2007 7 9
Tupungato, Sergio Traverso
4743 Compass Rose Malbec, Patagonia, 2007 7 9
