4466 Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi Classico, 2007 10 10 Drink up, it is not going to get any better.<br />
DOC<br />
4467 Rosso Piceno, DOC 2007 8 9 Rather acidic, even too acidic, but that is typical of wine from<br />
this region. Made with two grapes, one soft and supple, the<br />
other as hard as nails. Taking time to find harmony between<br />
the two.<br />
4468 Barbera d’Alba, DOC 2006 8 8 Still not entirely mature, but it is open and balanced.<br />
4469 Dolcetto d’Alba, DOC 2007 8 9 Almost sweet, but the attraction lies in the up-front fruit level.<br />
4470 Barbaresco, DOCG 2004 7 7 Moving slowly towards maturity. Very fine example.<br />
4471 Nebbiolo d’Alba Bricco Reala, DOC 2005 7 8 Very dark. Showing smoky notes of red berries. Nose shows<br />
leather and tobacco leaves<br />
4472 Barolo, DOCG 2004 8 8 Huge, dark wine with deep, hidden complexities that need<br />
careful tasting to join the party. Lovely subtle wine.<br />
4473 Castello delle Femmine, IGT 2006 7 8 Very big wine from the fairytale landscape of Campania,<br />
not far from Mont Vesuvius, close to Capri and the<br />
beautiful Amalfi coastline. Very full-bodied, soft wine with<br />
plenty of black fruit.<br />
4474 Ischia Rosso, “I Mari”, DOC 2007 7 8 Good fruit. Quite soft. Attractive fruity bouquet.<br />
4475 Aglianico, “Le Fantasie”, IGT 2007 7 7 Comes from the top winery of Ischia. The quality of the wine<br />
reflects the position of the winery.<br />
4476 Venas Rosso, “Terra degli Osci”, IGT 2007 9 10 One of Italy’s island wines. Big and still needing time.<br />
4477 Insolia Sicilia, “Carinda”, IGT 2007 9 9 Fine white. Ready now.<br />
4478 Syrah Sicilia, “Ruggiero” 2006 8 8 Very fine. Interested flavours. Still developing.<br />
4479 Castello Del Terriccio, Capannino, 2006 7 7 Lovely wine. Finding really memorable Chianti Classico is<br />
Toscana IGT, Founders’ Choice a labour of love, but this wine ticked all the boxes.<br />
