Lot # Wine Year M D Comment
4226 Bourgogne Chardonnay, AC, 2006 9 9 Good for three or four more years.
4227 Bourgogne Aligoté, AC, “Fruits d’Été” 2006 10 10 Plenty of vigour. Good, perhaps at its best now.
4228 Bourgogne Passetoutgrain, 2006 10 10 Rather tired. All of the sappy fruit seems to have gone on
AC, “Raisins de l’Automne” a walk-about. It is still OK, but don’t wait much longer.
4229 Bourgogne Pinot Noir, 2006 8 8 In most Canadian environments and to our palates, this is
AC, “Bouquet d’Hiver” now ready. It will last, but better to enjoy soon.
4230 Côte-de-Beaune-Villages, AC 2006 8 8 Good rich flavours and good level of fruit.
4231 Volnay, AC 2006 8 8 Should continue to mature. Drink anytime from 2010 to 2014.
4232 Aloxe-Corton, AC 2006 8 8 Quite well rounded, all of the sharp edges have smoothed
away. OK for three or four years.
4233 Gevrey-Chambertin, AC 2006 7 8 Rather more austere than 4232, but it will continue to soften.
4234 Nuits-Saint-Georges, AC 2006 7 7 Has developed early, but well. No problem, although it is rather
thin and lacks body.
4235 Le Blanc de Blancs de Monsieur Lamblin N.V. 10 10 This lot should have been drunk by now.
4236 Le Rouge de Monsieur Lamblin N.V. 10 10
4237 Chardonnay, Vin de Pays d’Oc 2006 10 10
4238 Merlot/Cabernet, Vin de Pays d’Oc 2006 10 10
4239 Domaine G. Thomas, AOC St. Veran 2006 8 9 Very fine. Good fruit. Showing fine creamy notes in the mouth.
4240 Bernard Perrin, AOC Beaujolais Blanc 2007 9 9 Enjoy this year or risk losing its balance.
4241 Domaine de Milhomme, AOC Beaujolais 2007 9 9 From one of the best estates of all south Beaujolais, but
even from this lovely vineyard high in the hills, it needs to be
opened young.
4242 Domaine de Thulon, 2007 9 9 The Jambon family who make this wine never leave a stone
AOC Beaujolais Villages unturned to make the best wine they can, but the wines do
need to be drunk young.
4243 Domaine de Thulon, AOC Regnié 2007 9 9 See Lot 4242
4244 Domaine Dit Barron, AOC Brouilly 2007 8 9 Light and fragrant.
4245 Domaine Desmures, AOC Chiroubles 2007 9 9 Amazingly good. No sign yet of loss of fruit or perfume.
4246 Domaine Champagnon, AOC Chénas 2007 8 8 Stalky. Rich. Grapey. Still delicious.
4247 Domaine Champagnon, 2007 7 8 Sturdy. Tannic. Gripping acidity. This is a song played at loud
AOC Moulin à Vent volume.
4248 Domaine du Vin des Poètes, 2007 8 8 Now as ready as it will ever be.
AOC Morgon
4249 Clos de Haute-Combe, AOC Julienas 2007 8 8 As always, the Audras family have produced a really fine wine.
4250 Les Bataillons, AOC Fleurie 2007 8 8 Soft and accessible. Plenty of fruit. Good nose. The excitement
of its youth is retreating as structure and length takes its place.
4252 Gamay Noir, 2007 9 9 Very fine wine, but it is now ready and should be opened in
Domaine le Carjot, Founders’ Choice 2010 or 2011.
