harmony, fine fruit integration and balanced structures.
3744 Malbec, Fantasia, Valle de Uco 2006 9 9 Shrubby notes. Flowers. Grapey. Earthy and very fruity.
Supple flavours.
3745 Urban Uco, Tempranillo, Valle de Uco, 2003 10 10 Fully mature, but there seems no reason to hurry to open
O. Fournier the bottle. It is full-bodied and shows fine structure.
3746 Urban Uco, Malbec, Valle de Uco, 2004 10 10 Wonderful winemaking techniques have made this an
O. Fournier international classic. Very fine, full and packed to the rim with flavour.
3748 Syrah, Ópalo, Valle de Uco, Mendoza 2005 10 10 Full. A great example of the best of the region.

3761 Chablis, Premier Cru, Montmains 2005 6 7 Brilliant vintage. Full of fragrance and aromas of the terroir.
3762 Chablis, Grand Cru, Vaudesir 2005 7 7 It has a solid limestone core around which the fruit makes an
elegant appearance.
3767 Bourgogne Pinot Noir 2004 9 10 Simple wine of an average vintage. Still attractive, but time to
drink up.
3770 Gevrey-Chambertin, Côte de Nuits 2005 9 9 The fruit has come up to scratch, but it is rather short and
appears to be going nowhere further.
3771 Nuits St Georges, Côte de Nuits 2005 9 9 Good vintage. Good quality level. Like many Côte d’Or wines,
it leaves questions to be answered.
3776 Domaine de Milhomme, Beaujolais 2006 10 10 Although just a simple village wine, the producer has a very
good handle on producing wines that exceed the norm.
3780 Domaine Desmures, Chiroubles 2006 10 10 Floral, fruity and spicy. A wine that has reached its best,
but will continue to please for another year or two.

Cabernet Sauvignon/Merlot Reserva This one still has some way to go, but it is certainly a joy now.
3810 Bodegas Ramón Bilbao Single 2005 8 8 Very fine. Typical of estate, grape and vintage.
Vineyard, DO Rioja Softened up beautifully.
3811 Tilenus Joven, DO Bierzo, 2006 9 9 One of the crown jewels that keep on appearing out of
Bodegas Estefanía the Iberian “campo.”
3812 Monte Castrillo Roble, DO Ribera 2005 8 8 Still tough. Not yet rich. It will get softer and rounder yet.

3816 Rioja Reserva, 2001 10 10 Purest vanilla and chocolate, with just a hint of pungent
DO Rioja, Bodegas Ramón Bilbao spice and warm Tempranillo fruit.
3817 Torremilanos Crianza, 2003 8 10 Can be kept, but probably as good as it gets now.

3818 Vendimia Seleccionada, 2004 8 8 An unusual DOC, but there is nothing unusual in the high
DO Cigales, Bodegas Valdelosfrialles quality of the wine. Now nearly ready and attractively fruity.
3819 Valduero Crianza, 2004 8 9 Now quite soft and supple.

3820 Gran Colegiata, Campus, 2004 8 8 This is a wonderful wine. Not many come better than this.
DO Toro, Bodegas Fariña It has life aplenty.
3828 Pisa a Pé, Quinta de San João Batista, 2004 8 9 Very full. Very powerful structure. A great, now mature red.

3830 Churchill Estates Douro Tinto, 2004 9 9 Wonderful, full-bodied, ripe and rich, it has enough fruit to last,
DO Douro, Churchill Graham Lda. grow, mature and develop for several more years. A wine of
typically high Churchill, Graham quality.
