it wants to be opened to show off its peak of performance.
Wine Review 2010
These three wines come from irrigated vineyards a fair
distance from the New South Wales coastline. They are
made to be enjoyed when young and full of life. Go for it!
3718 Richland Shiraz 2006 9 9 Generous fruit. Deep colour, very attractive. Ready.
3721 Chardonnay [un-oaked], 2006 9 9 Peaches, banana and zesty pineapple, with a copious squeeze
Henderson, Manuka Hill of limey acidity. Very good. Ready now.
3724 Tua Tua Bay, Premium Sauvignon Blanc, 2006 10 10 Widely popular, as it should be, it is a great example of the
Marlborough, Manuka Hill variety, enhanced by clever, even sensitive, winemaking.
3727 “Triangle”, Clovelly Vineyard 2006 9 9 Jacques Fourie’s best wine. It is perfumed by eucalyptus
mixed with heather, black fruit and stalky leaves. Very good
wine, indeed.
3733 “Family Reserve” Viognier, Riverstone 2005 10 10 Although still delicious, there is no point in holding this any longer.
3734 Riverstone Shiraz 2004 10 10 Made by a family who have farmed their vineyards for several
generations. It must be said, they have learned a thing or two.
This is a fine example of Cape Shiraz. Very generous.
3737 Cabernet Sauvignon, Sergio Traverso 2005 10 10 Not made for a long life, but for mid-term pleasure. This
continues to please; it has lots of vinosity and black fruit.
