Small solution for
large living spaces
M2-25 is a Northwest Switzerland
company that provides
quick and cost-effective
solutions for creating temporary
housing with highly flexible
housing and service modules.
Finding or offering a suitable,
affordable apartment is not easy in
the current Swiss housing market.
Especially in urban areas, the
housing shortage is acute - demand
far exceeds supply. Especially for
small households with 1 or 2 persons,
there is clearly too little rental
space, although this demand group
represents more than two thirds of
the Swiss housing reality. This is
where the convincing concept of
M2-25 comes in, which offers
modular and stackable housing
and service units on suitable
sites in urban areas,
which can temporarily
cover all the basic needs
of modern living in a small
space for little money. M2-25 is a
joint venture of the two Basel region
companies SBS AG in Pratteln and
Stamm Bau AG in Arlesheim.
Innovative solutions
The residential modules, which are
available in four different sizes
ranging from 25 to 45 square meters
of living space, are particularly
suitable for temporary interim uses
on currently unused or built-up
areas and plots of land and can be
adapted to local conditions on a
modular basis.
Each living module includes a living
and working space, a bathroom with
a shower, a kitchen and a bedroom.
The floor plans of the M2-25 residential
modules have squeezed a lot
out of a small area. In residential
complexes, additional service modules
with technology, laundry room,
meeting zone, bike room, storage
space or connecting elements
between the individual modules can
be installed. The modular system
allows the composition of the
facility to be individually adapted to
local conditions and requirements.
Natural materials
M2-25 emphasizes the use of
natural and sustainable materials.
With the emphasis on the use of
wood, a renewable resource in
Switzerland and Europe, a natural
living environment is created. A
fresh, uncluttered yet homely choice
of materials, inspired by nature,
creates a comfortable atmosphere in
which residents do not miss anything.
